Hi, my name is Bianca Helene Simon. Here you find my works signed with my middle name „Helene“. I have chosen this artist name for two reasons:
It was easy to find because it is my second name.
It is my bow to Wilhelm Busch and his character „Die fromme Helene“ („pious Helene“).
Milestones of my life as an artist
I finished my studies as graphic designer in 1996 at the Darmstadt Fachhochschule.
My first job as a graphic designer was in Paris 1996 and lastet for 3 years.
For a very long time of my professional life (20 years) I passed along my knowledge to students.
In 2020 I did the brave step to start a very different job: Since then, I run the bed & breakfast „Der kleine Globetrotter“ in Monschau where I exhibit my works throughout the whole house.
Private influences
You will find a lot of natural and architectural elements in my paintings. I love being in nature and actually live in the rural area of Eifel National Park. At the same time I am very curious of big cities and the architecture that makes them special.
